Community pharmacies delivering NHS vaccinations are reminded that all vaccinations must be recorded using the NHS Record a Vaccination Service (RAVS). RAVS is now the sole approved platform for recording NHS vaccinations.
Already using RAVS?
Before administering vaccines, ensure that all vaccine batch details have been added within the vaccine section of your account.
Need to register?
Pharmacies not yet signed up will need to create a RAVS account before providing vaccination services. You can create an account here.
Important Recording Requirement
NHS vaccinations should no longer be recorded in PharmOutcomes or any other clinical system. All NHS vaccination activity must be entered directly into RAVS to ensure compliance with NHS requirements.
Pharmacy owners are advised to contact their IT system provider to see if RAVS can be integrated into their current system – otherwise RAVS will have to be used as a standalone system.
On 1st July 2026, the East Midlands and West Midlands vaccination teams merged to become the Midlands Vaccination Team. The team will now cover all Integrated Care Systems in the Midlands footprint.
Any clinical immunisation queries and incidents from these areas should be directed to the MICAS (Midlands Immunisation Clinical Advice Service) inbox: england.imms@nhs.net
Please include your practice ODS code in the email title, in order for the team to appropriately record and audit queries and incidents. Failure to do so may result in a delay in answering your query.
Off-site vaccinations:
If your pharmacy intends to provide flu vaccinations at locations other than the pharmacy premises in
Herefordshire and Worcestershire, please email england.imms@nhs.net and copy in
hwicb.vaccinations@nhs.net
